The pagoda style or flared roof eaves along with the bay window on the front make this a unique, but very attractive station.

This style of roof was an inexpensive way to add interest to an otherwise common structure and was used by the Rock Island and several other railroads.

At 24' wide x 40' long this is a small size wood combination passenger and freight station.

The prototype originally included a loading ramp that was removed in the depot's later days.
