-EMD Production Build: 2nd production (6925-46) built between June 1970 and September 1971

-This locomotive was the LAST DDA40X built and delivered.

-Retired June 1984 and donated to the Feather River Rail Society and still on display at the museum in Portola, CA.

-Estimated era for details applied 1979 through June 1984.

-Details for this group feature revised access door details behind the cab and at the rear of the long hood.

-This unit does have the rear end access window to left of end grab irons.

-This model does have ACI plates (used between early 1970s to late 1970s).

-Airhorn mounted above the cab...based upon a July 1979 decision by UP to move airhorns from the mid-portion of the locomotive forward at the next scheduled major shopping.

-Notice the airhorn is painted silver instead of Harbor Mist Gray as on other units.

-Notice red sill stripe is constant across the front and rear of the unit.
